Pratt’s Center for Teaching and Learning invites all faculty to attend any or all of the scheduled sessions of the Wednesday Workshop Series this Spring.
These generative workshops will address several important topics—crafting an authentic teaching philosophy, writing an engaging and clear diversity statement, and re-visiting and possibly re-writing measurable learning objectives for your current courses. Come ready to think, write, and share with colleagues
Dates:
- Feb 12 (Wednesday) at 10 am and 1:30 pm
“Workshopping Your Teaching Philosophy”
- Feb 26 (Wednesday) at 10 am and 1:30 pm
“Developing a Diversity Statement”
- April 22 (Wednesday) at 10 am and 1:30 pm
“With the End in Mind: Revisiting Learning Objectives”
To any or all of these work sessions, please bring a laptop computer. To selected workshops, we may also ask you to bring your current CV, a course syllabus from a current course, an assignment, and/or a draft of your current teaching statements (if you have it).
Location: All workshops will take place at the CTL, Pratt Library, 2nd Floor (East Reading Room)
RSVP is required
In order to best prepare for these sessions, we ask that you RSVP ahead of time. If there are any last minute changes in your schedule, of course, you can drop-in. If you RSVP’d, we’ll confirm your attendance and inform you of any additional requirements 48 hours prior to the workshops.
Stipend:
Part time faculty will receive a certificate and $150 stipend for completing a workshop.
