Hold the dates for the 2020 Fall Forum: Teaching with Canvas
Sept 22- Sept 25 (online)
Canvas is a Learning Management System (LMS) platform that allows instructors to build and customize synchronous and asynchronous content unique to their specific classes. It has the ability to incorporate class readings, images, audio/video, activities, assessments, as well as the gradebook, course calendar, and announcements for important class details. Canvas allows for the integration of many additional applications––such as Zoom, Google Drive, Digication ––all within the platform, so that professors and students can consolidate their means of communication and remain clear throughout their semester’s work together. With strong accessibility features and mobile support, Canvas empowers teachers to engage and support their students through all teaching modalities.
Pratt’s Center for Teaching and Learning in collaboration with the Office of Provost is happy to announce this year’s Fall Forum with a strong focus on ‘Teaching with Canvas’.
