Learning Pedagogy

Learning Pedagogy: Best Practices – Spring 2022

Geared toward new and long-time faculty alike, the Learning Pedagogy – Best Practices Series, offered by Pratt’s CTL, will be an exploration of foundational topics in teaching and learning theory and practice.  Workshops in this series will focus, among others things, on course design, course assessment, intercultural and inclusive pedagogies, resilience, accessibility, Universal Design for Learning principles in online, hybrid and in-person formats. We’ll also consider syllabus design, group-work, Canvas and other educational technologies and their applications in classroom and studio practice. The workshops will be supported by scholarship and research on teaching and learning, and participants will walk away with concrete next steps for re-thinking their pedagogy.

We will be using Miro during these workshops, so if you aren’t familiar please activate your Pratt Miro account using this guide and explore the tools. If you still have questions about the platform, please join the meeting 10 minutes early!

Please RSVP for each session using these links:

Sessions can be joined individually; participants do not need to attend all 4 workshops, though we encourage you to attend as many as you can!

Stipend: Part-time faculty who attend at least three sessions will receive an honorarium of $250.
