Activating Lectures with Augmented Reality

Faculty Spotlight – Activating Lectures with Augmented Reality

We are excited to announce our first Faculty Spotlight presentation of the Spring 2022 semester!

Please join us virtually on February 15th from 3:00-4:00 pm for a Faculty Spotlight presentation by Christian Rietzke (Interior Design) and Wen-Ching Ting (Graduate student). The presentation will include about 20 minutes of sharing with plenty of time for questions, answers, and conversation in the rest of our hour together.

Register for this event here.

This research project expands on the ideas of access and interaction by bringing Augmented Reality (AR) into the classroom. In our case study, we specifically used AR to bring a number of construction details from the course INT724 – Construction and Fabrication into your own space at full scale!!! Beyond this specific use, the project’s objective is to develop a workflow that can be used across disciplines and understand how this technology can be used in different courses throughout the curriculum to provide a more immersive learning experience.
