Pratt is home to an outstanding and diverse community of students, including a significant population of international students for whom English is not a mother tongue–English as a Second Language (ESL) speakers.
In this interactive workshop led by Sarah Custen (IEP), we will examine pedagogical challenges that stem from linguistic and cultural differences between ESL students and their non-ESL teachers. We will then investigate and practice effective solutions to these challenges via writing and role-playing.
Join us on Thursday, November 17 from 3-4:30 in the East Reading Room (Pratt Library 2nd Floor).
