AI and the Classroom: Fall 2023 Interactive Conversation

As we approach one year since the release of ChatGPT 3.0, we have all experienced, to some degree, the increased or changed use of AI within our classrooms and in our daily lives. Together, we can share experiences and discuss how these technologies impact higher education. In this conversation, we also look to situate our references within the larger context of AI – not just inside of academia, but across many facets of life. The question remains: How well are we preparing our students for the future?

Join us online on September 28th from 12:30-1:30pm. We welcome all faculty members with any thoughts on this subject, and we look forward to hearing from you!

We’d also like to note that SLAS is bringing Seiji Isotani to speak at Pratt on the subject of AI and Education on September 26th. We hope that this Interactive Conversation can additionally serve as a debrief for folks who attend the talk on 9/26.

We’ve begun collecting some some references and opinion pieces on the subject, though this list is necessarily incomplete and we look forward to additional resources that you can provide during our conversation. This Pinboard will continue growing as more resources are added.
