Recording from Writing Skills for Students in the School of Information with Rebecca Evanhoe

Rebecca Evanhoe’s (School of Information) Fellows project seeks to put together a comprehensive understanding of students’ “writing skill ecosystems”: what skills they have, what skills they need, what resources they currently have at their disposal, what additional resources might help students advance their skills, and what resources might help faculty members support this. Listen as she shares insights from interviews and surveys, and talks about what might come next.

Rebecca Evanhoe is an author, teacher, and conversation designer. With degrees in chemistry and fiction writing, she’s passionate about how interdisciplinary thinking can combine arts, humanities, sciences, and tech. She teaches UX writing and conversation design as a visiting assistant professor at Pratt Institute, and co-authored Conversation with Things: UX Design for Chat and Voice (Rosenfeld Media, 2021).
