Spring 2023 Lesson Planning Workshop: Creating Significant Learning Experiences for Students

In this workshop we will explore strategies for creating lesson plans for high student engagement using the planning tools of backwards design, including: Establishing goals, creating learning outcomes, and developing purposeful learning activities. Participants will choose a lesson topic from their syllabus to apply these strategies and develop lesson plans practicing a format called the Workshop Model.

COP/I is a mini-grant program from the Center for Teaching and Learning set to run as a pilot in Spring of 2023. It’s an exciting addition to the already exciting and creative SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) work that Pratt faculty are advancing.

Teaching & Learning Library

The Teaching & Learning Library is a collaboration between the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Library to provide access to books and other resources that promote and support pedagogical development on campus. These resources are available both in the collection as well as at the CTL office and cover a  range of topics and interests.
