We are delighted to invite you toPratt’s Teaching and Learning Fall 2018 Forum. President Frances Bronet will welcome the attendees, and Provost Kirk E. Pillow will introduce keynote speaker Nancy Budwig, who will talk about the role Pratt might play in re-imagining liberal and professional education. The day’s programming will feature presentations and workshops led by Pratt faculty and staff, who will address three aspects of teaching and learning: 1) the problems and challenges of teaching and learning, 2) current possibilities for addressing these challenges based on research and practice, and 3) future directions given the changing nature of the disciplines and fields in art and design.

Nancy Budwig, Professor of Psychology, Clark University and Senior Fellow, Association of American Colleges and Universities
“Integrative learning and equity-minded practice: The special role for Pratt Institute in reimagining liberal and professional education”
Nancy Budwig is a Professor of Psychology at Clark University and a Senior Fellow at the Association of American Colleges & Universities (AAC&U). As Associate Provost at Clark, she played a leadership role in developing and implementing Clark’s Liberal Education and Effective Practice (LEEP) curricular framework and led Clark’s team in AAC&U’s consortium on Facilitating Faculty Leadership for Integrative Learning. Most recently she coordinated AAC&U’s LEAP Challenge Capstone and Signature Work project. Her work has been published in Peer Review and Change.
